Breakfast had a nice variety. The location was PERFECT.
The room decor was ABSOLUTELY atrocious. It looked like a child did it. I understand it is an "art" hotel and each room was designed by a different "artist" but my room was ridiculously decorated. The WHOLE room needed an overhaul or at very least a paint touch up. Everything looked a bit grubby.

a lovely anniversary retreat

comfy roomlush gardenrum cocktailgrubby carpet
we stayed in a large comfy room with a baroque balcony. it led onto the most luscious garden and pool area. the hotel offered a cool calming break from the busy streets. the staff welcomed us with a rum cocktail (such a lovely touch).
our room had carpet that felt grubby. paintwork also seemed grubby. the furniture in the room looked cheap and worn. we found no headboard on the beds.
